Description

1999 Chevy Blazer – The all-new 2nd generation Blazer was introduced in 1994 as a 1995 model year. This time, it lost the S-10 prefix for simpler identification, as the full-size K5 Blazer was discontinued. The Blazer was Playboy magazine’s Truck of the Year for 1995 and was also the unanimous winner of the Motor Trend 1995 Truck of the Year. The ’95 Blazer was also awarded North American Truck of the Year at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Exterior and interior size were increased, bumping it up to a mid-sized SUV. This Blazer appealed to more customers because of the less rugged appearance and rounded styling, and many storage spaces—a key feature for families. In 1998, the interior and exterior received some cosmetic changes. The makeover offered a new dashboard with larger buttons and more ergonomically correct driving controls, as well as larger door handles, and headrests for the rear bench. A passenger airbag is now standard. A front grille similar to the Chevrolet C/K pickup line’s stacked-headlight system replaced the older single-headlight system, similar to the full-size GMT400 trucks. 4 wheel disc brakes became standard equipment, fitted with aluminum dual-piston calipers.

It goes without saying there there is a lot to be said for low mileage vehicles of this era. When you locate a vehicle with almost no miles you start to wonder “why??” When you locate one with high miles, you wonder “why would anyone buy that?” But when you find a 23 year old vehicle with only 27k miles you realize you have found a real “gem”. The miles aren’t so super low that everything has gone bad from non use. This is a vehicle that has been used sparingly and been very well-maintained. This Blazer has seen an average of only 100 miles per month and still retains a very factory look. It has obviously been lowered and the job was done right with a BellTech lowering kit and spindles. The only other upgrade was a set of 18″ American Racing Torque Thrust wheels wrapped in new ZR-rated tires. Our inspection found only a few small paint imperfections on the hood, an immaculate interior, and everything mechically working as it should. A complete list of features and options includes; 4.3L V6, Auto, RWD, Belltech Lowering Kit, A/C, Front Airbags, Alarm, ABS Brakes, Center Console Storage, Chrome Grill, Cruise Control, Cloth Floormats, Keyless Entry, Luggage Rack, Owners Manual, Power Steering/Brakes, Power Windows/Locks/Mirrors, Rear Window Defrost, Factory AM/FM/Cassette, Tilt Steering, Tinted Glass, Tire Tools, Full Spare w/ Cover, 18″ A/R Torque Thrust Rims, and Thick ZR-rated Tires! Did we mention this 2nd generation Blazer has only 27k miles?!? Don’t let this one slip away while you day-dream about locating one nicer for only $19,900!
