1989 Chevy C1500 Silverado – C/K is a series of trucks that were manufactured by General Motors. Marketed under the Chevrolet and GMC brands, the C/K series included a wide range of vehicles. While most commonly associated with pickup trucks, the model line also included chassis-cab trucks and medium-duty trucks and served as the basis for GM full-size SUVs. The fourth-generation C/K was introduced in April 1987 for the 1988 model year. The first line not assigned a generational moniker by General Motors, it is known by its GMT400 internal codename. Slightly smaller in cab dimensions than the Rounded Line generation, the fourth-generation C/K increased interior space over its predecessor. In a branding change, the C/K nomenclature became exclusive to Chevrolet, as all GMC pickups became Sierras (GMC retained the C/K nomenclature for its internal model codes). Chevrolet introduced several specialized variants of the C/K series, including the work-oriented W/T 1500, off-road Z71, and the high-performance 454SS.

It is widely known that the 1988-1998 GM Trucks are the hottest trucks on the market and their popularity is well deserved. After all, they have beautiful styling, great safety and comfort features, and they drive like new vehicles. They have matured to a point where they have are now widely accepted in the world of “classic” vehicles and are welcome entrants to the largest of car shows. What separates the great C/K examples today from the thousands of trucks produced are obviously those that have been well maintained over the last 30 or so years and still look great. This well-optioned Silverado short bed step side is one such vehicle! With the excellent cosmetics inside and out and the recent servicing of the drivetrain, we feel it is one of the nicer examples you will come across in your searches. Because the miles are a little higher than others in inventory, we recently performed a head-job and full tune-up on this Silverado to ensure it runs as great as it looks for the next owner. A new set of Matte-black valve covers were installed at that time. This C1500 also has a mild shift kit that was installed by the previous owner. A complete list of features and options includes; 5.7L V8, Auto, 2wd, A/C, Chrome Bumpers, Chrome Grill, Chrome Mirrors, Cruise Control, Rubber Floormats, Owners Manual, Power Windows/Locks, JVC AM/FM/CD Stereo, Tilt Steering, Tinted Windows, Two-Tone Paint, Custom Exhaust, Tire Tools, Full Spare Tire, 15″ 454ss Wheels, Thick Cooper Cobra Raised White Letter Tires! Drive it daily or as your weekend show car. Either way, it’s a great truck under $20k that will only continue to appreciate over time.
