Description

1975 Chevy Caprice Classic Convertible – The Chevrolet Caprice is a full-sized automobile produced by Chevrolet in North America for the 1965 to 1996 model years. Full-size Chevrolet sales peaked in 1965 with over a million sold. It was the most popular American car in the sixties and early seventies, which, during its lifetime, included the BiscayneBel Air, and Impala. Introduced in mid-1965 as a luxury trim package for the Impala four-door hardtop, Chevrolet offered a full line of Caprice models for the 1966 and subsequent model years, including a “formal hardtop” coupe and an Estate station wagon. The 1971 to 1976 models are the largest Chevrolets ever built. The 1975 models received a revised grille and taillight trim and six-window styling on four-door models. The dashboard, radio and climate control graphics were revised; the speedometer read up to 100 mph (160 km/h), and had smaller numbers for kilometers per hour. The Caprice convertible would be discontinued after the 1975 model year along with its full-size B-body counterparts including the Oldsmobile Delta 88Buick LeSabre, and Pontiac Grand Ville. Just about 8,350 Caprice Classic convertibles found buyers in 1975.

Even 44 years after rolling off the assembly line, this beautiful Caprice Classic convertible still presents with a very original look. The Caprice has been in TX with only 2 owners. It still has the original tire tools, owners manual, and convertible boot. In fact, the only item that is not original is the Sony AM/FM/Cassette and speakers. In recent years it has had 1 repaint in the original red, it has had a new top installed, and the motor was rebuilt 10k miles ago (at apprx 140k on odoometer). The original 350 V8 paired with the Turbo 350 automatic transmission give this beauty a smooth ride and plenty of power. A complete list of features and options includes; 350, Auto, RWD, Power Steering& Brakes, Power Window & Locks, Power Top, A/C, Chrome Grill, Chrome Bumpers, Cloth Floormats, Original Owners Manual, Tilt Steering, Tire Tools, AM/FM/Cassette, Spare Tire, 15″ Factory Hubcaps, and Thick 225/70/R15 White Wall Tires! With no flaws, NADA show this classic Chevy at $31,790 and Hagerty Guides comes in a close 2nd at $27,900. This Caprice Classic is not perfect but definitely worth every penny of our $14,900 asking price. This is one convertible you don’t want to let slip away!
