1970 Chevy C20 Custom Camper – As you can tell from the homepage of our website, we’ve been fortunate to own several Classic Chevy trucks from this era. We know them well and when we located this beauty in AZ we jumped on a plane and grabbed it as fast as we could. Why you ask? There are just so many strong points about this C20 that we couldn’t pass it up. The highlights of this truck include being a 2 owner truck with low miles, original paint, original condition, excellent mechanics, extensive service records, and a $4,500 ARE Utility Camper Shell. We purchased this vehicle from the previous owners widow. The gentleman relied on this truck for his business as a local RV mobile mechanic. To say it was well maintained is an understatement! We have a folder with approx $30k in servicing and upgrades since 2000 (including camper shell). The widow knew we planned to drive the truck to TX so she checked it thoroughly before we arrived and found a slight shifting issue. Therefore she spent $2,200 on a brand new transmission (Nov 2019) to ensure we had a safe road trip. Yes, that’s right … we drove this classic Custom Camper from AZ to TX last month and it drove like a new truck the entire way! When we arrived in TX we decided to make a few cosmetic upgrades. A new dash pad was installed, the rear bumper was repainted, the front bumper was replaced, the black section of the original side trim was repainted, and the hood was treated to a new bowtie. The only rust on the truck are some very small bubbles seen just below the side toolbox. A complete list of features and options include; 400 V8 (310hp), Edelbrock Intake, Electric Fans (2), Auto, RWD, 3/4 Ton, Factory A/C, Brake Controller, Chrome Grill, Owners Manual, Power Drum Brakes, Power Steering, Factory AM/FM Radio, Tinted Glass, Tool & Storage Box, Tow Package, Tire Tools, Spare Tire, 16″ MB Motoring Outlaw Wheels, and Michelin LTX Tires! The ARE Utility Camper Shell features locking side boxes, locking rear hatch, luggage rack, color-matched paint, and a Bedslide slide-out drawer.
Make note of how closely this C20 resembles its original SPID tag in glovebox, inspect the extensive records, and even drive it back to your home state. You’ll quickly understand why this is the best C20 on the market. It would even be a perfect truck for any small business that needs a unique work truck. If the new owner takes as much care as the previous owner, it will never depreciate. 50 years never looked so good on a Chevy truck! Contact us today to become the fortunate new owner.
