1958 Chevy Impala Coupe (Resto Mod) – The Chevrolet Impala originated as a sports coupe and made its debut at the 1956 General Motors Motorama. The concept became a reality with Chevrolet launching the Impala in 1958. The car was named after the African antelope known for its speed, though I don’t suppose GM had any idea how far the Impala would eventually run. The production between 1958 and 1996 amounted to 13 million cars, breaking all production figures for a full-sized North American car. The one-year-only 1958 Impala body style turned out to be a very bold move on GM’s behalf — it worked and lay the foundation for the risk-taking direction they were prepared to go in developing cars for the next decade. The chassis was a new design — longer and wider — and the body had a reduced height of almost 127 millimetres (five inches). It was very stylish with its quad headlights and dripping in chrome, almost as much as the automaker’s flagship Cadillac.

The styling of any ’58 Impala is truly legendary. Combine those early designs with the modern conveniences of todays automobiles and the result is a unique vehicle that is an absolute blast to drive. This resto mod Chevy Impala was carefully built to ensure the end result was the best looking and best driving vehicle on the road. The black exterior pairs perfectly with a custom red and black interior with woodgrain accents. The heart of this build starts with a new 6.2L LS3 crate motor that put out 518hp on the dyno. This awesome powerplant is mated to a 4L60E Automatic transmission with overdrive. Both have seen just under 5k miles since completion. The engine is kept cool with a BeCool Aluminum Radiator and the cabin is kept just right with the addition of a Vintage Air/Heat system. Other mechanical upgrades on this build include; Aomic MSD Ignition, Hotchkis Front & Rear Stabilizer Bars, 4 Wheel Disc Brakes, and a complete RideTech Air Ride system. The interior has many custom touches which include; Custom Bucket Seats, Tilt Steering, Custom Center Console w/ Autometer Gauges, Kenwood Touchscreen Stereo w/ Bluetooth & Navigation, and a Digital Tachometer. There is obviously way more money in this build than our asking price and this is exactly how you want to buy a classic vehicle. Let someone else spend months (or years) pouring crazy money into a vehicle only to have to let it go for a fraction of the investment. You definitely can’t build this stunning ’58 Impalas’ twin for under $100k so call us today and let’s check off another item at the top of your bucket list!
